To maintain a secure and transparent 1:1 Bitcoin backing for every $zBTC in circulation, APOLLO adopts a dual-reserve system—Cold Reserve and Hot Reserve, safeguarded by , ensuring the circulating supply remains secure.

Deposit

To mint zBTC on Solana using APOLLO, users deposit BTC through the APOLLO dApp. The process is streamlined, transparent, and secure:

  1. The user submits BTC to their designated Hot Reserve Address through APOLLO.

  2. The submitted BTC is moved and locked in the Cold Reserve on the Bitcoin blockchain.

  3. Once confirmed, APOLLO mints an equivalent amount of zBTC into its custodial vault on Solana.

  4. The user can then redeem their zBTC from APOLLO's custodial vault and utilize it across Solana DeFi.

To withdraw zBTC from Solana and unlock to BTC on Bitcoin blockchain via APOLLO, users follow a clear and secure flow:

  1. The user can initiate a withdrawal request for zBTC from either their wallet or custodial vault on APOLLO.

  2. The process involves unlocking BTC on the Bitcoin blockchain and burning an equivalent amount of zBTC.

  3. Once the transaction is verified and complete, BTC is sent to the user's Bitcoin address.
